EARTH DAY COMMUNITY PROJECT - Show our street trees some love!
Saturday, April 22 from 9am to 1pm
Join your fellow Upper Eastsiders to help beautify our neighborhood and protect our street trees! From 60th to 72nd Streets we will be spreading mulch on First Avenue tree beds (92 litter-strewn patches of parched dirt in which trees planted on the sidewalk curb struggle to grow). Afterward we will break bagels and coffee together. Hand tools will be provided but feel free to bring your own trowel. Friends and neighbors are welcome to participate - please have them sign up separately. Children 10 years and older are welcome to participate.
